Network Planning Manager manages a team that plans, designs, evaluates, and optimizes network systems. Oversees network analysis initiatives to gather metrics like effectiveness, efficiency, and security and identify areas for improvement. Being a Network Planning Manager designs solutions to improve this performance. Communicates and collaborates with other organizational teams to design network solutions that align with organizational systems and objectives. Additionally, Network Planning Manager ensures networks are capable of adapting to new organizational initiatives and potential use cases. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Network Planning Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Network Planning Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Responsibilities

    As a Safety Manager, you are responsible for providing safety leadership, ensuring operational compliance with safety standards, implementing safety directives, assisting management to improve safety performance, and helping align safety policies and procedures with regulations.     In addition, you will:

    • Develop and support the creation of a strategy of safety and compliance strategic goals
    • Ensure site management has the appropriate activity-based goals for the leadership team, managers, and supervisors, to drive the safety culture, compliance, and results 
    • Supervise, lead, and mentor company-wide safety and compliance support staff
    • Develop effective safety and compliance programs and policies designed to meet operational goals to reduce injuries and incidents 
    • Communicate safety and compliance strategy and objectives to leadership 
    • Support site management in the implementation of safety and compliance programs or policies
    • Design and implement effective metrics to track progress, proactively identify areas of concern, and drive accountability
    • Design and execute an effective Occupational, Health & Safety Management System
    • Liaise with external vendors to manage hazardous waste hotline, SDS system, waste collection, and disposal program 
    • Develop and implement audit tracks and identify gaps in local compliance with corporate safety policies and procedures 
    • Lead or direct incident investigation process, including root cause analysis and identification of corrective action plans
    • Facilitate supervisor and management training on root cause analysis
    • Assist site management in ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies 
    • Monitor, interpret and communicate regulatory changes to management 
    • Display strong problem-solving skills, organizational skills, and analytical skills 
    • Demonstrate professional maturity and ability to act as a change leader 
    • Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices
    • Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to employees on safety initiatives and necessary changes
    • Perform other duties as required and/or assigned 

    Qualifications

    • You enjoy getting your hands dirty with your team
    • You possess an Associate’s degree or equivalent 
    • You have Five (5) years of related supervisory experience in a safety role 
    • Possess working knowledge of the construction and/or telecommunications/electrical/gas industry 
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
    • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills 
    • Able to read and understand maps, drawings, and diagrams for projects plans 
    • Able to think strategically and provide strong leadership 
    • Possess strong knowledge of applicable regulations 
    • Able to maintain confidentiality
    • Ability to travel to sites within the North and South Dakota area, preferably near Rapid City, SD

    Salary Guidelines: $80,000-$90,000/yr (DOE), company truck
