Network Engineering Manager manages and implements the plans, designs, and development of all aspects of network systems that will meet an organization's requirements for performance, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Identifies network requirements for hardware, software, and services that will provide optimal solutions and meet the capacity requirement for the organization. Being a Network Engineering Manager conducts network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. Develops monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans and strategies to ensure the network is responsive to changes in demand. Additionally, Network Engineering Manager keeps abreast with the latest technologies and best practices and utilizes vendors and providers to provide additional resources to support networks. May be certified or has deep knowledge of vendor-specific products. Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Network Engineering Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Network Engineering Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. The network expert team is part of the customer services group, as a network expert you will act as an escalation point for NOC, customers, and onboarding team for technical network issues.
- Ensure 24/7 availability of our network, handling day-to-day production network issues.
- Assist in incident response and support customers during network events and attacks.
- Work with network architects, engineering, and R&D on infrastructure improvements.
- Actively monitor, react, and troubleshoot system events and alerts.
- Investigate and resolve network related issues.
- The position requires on-call duties.
Requirements:- Fluent English
- 3-5 year’s hands-on experience in implementing and troubleshooting complex TCP/IP technologies.
- Must have experience with strong routing and switching concepts – CCNP advantage.
- Must have experience with Cisco/Juniper routing and switching.
- Must have experience with routing protocols, BGP - a must.
- Knowledge with HTTP/s protocol, load balancer and operating systems (Linux) – An advantage
- Strong in Layers 3, 4, & 7
- Good communication skills and experience working with customers – a must.
- Knowledge of security appliances (such as firewalls) and experience with Radware security and ADC products – significant advantage
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python – advantage
- Ability to collaborate, sync and manage processes with other teams to achieve incident resolution.
- Multitasking and work under pressure
- Familiarity with Radware services and products – An advantage
