Network Engineering Manager manages and implements the plans, designs, and development of all aspects of network systems that will meet an organization's requirements for performance, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Identifies network requirements for hardware, software, and services that will provide optimal solutions and meet the capacity requirement for the organization. Being a Network Engineering Manager conducts network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. Develops monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans and strategies to ensure the network is responsive to changes in demand. Additionally, Network Engineering Manager keeps abreast with the latest technologies and best practices and utilizes vendors and providers to provide additional resources to support networks. May be certified or has deep knowledge of vendor-specific products. Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Network Engineering Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Network Engineering Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
    This position requires someone with significant project management experience who possesses the knowledge and skills to develop project plans, scope of services, schedules, budgets and execution plans. Reporting to the location’s Operations Leader, the successful candidate will build strong collaborative relationships internally and externally, have strong project and business skills, be well spoken and personable, and be a strong advocate for and leader of the Jedson engineering team.
    • Manage all aspects of business projects from inception through execution
    • Develop and document the scope of work
    • Understand project success criteria and ensure client expectations are met
    • Develop and track project costs
    • Identify and communicate changes to SOW
    • Identify and effectively respond to clients issues and needs
    • Ensure value is provided to the client and develop & earn their trust
    • Ensure the clients policies and procedures are communicated and followed by the Jedson and project team
    • Review and manage all project deliverables
    • Secure resources needed for team to execute work effectively (i.e. drawings, reports, site visits, etc.)
    • Ensure PO’s are received from the client before work begins and ensure services are rendered within the approved budget; also ensure invoices are paid timely
    • Anticipate future work associated or derived from ongoing projects
    WHO YOU ARE:
    • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in engineering
    • Project Management experience on Engineering Projects
    • Knowledge of front-end engineering and detailed engineering process
    • Proven Customer Account Manager with experience in developing opportunities within existing clients
    • Demonstrated experience in driving projects within budget from initiation through a successful and timely conclusion
    • Coordinate and supervise project implementation, control project costs, monitor progress and quality of the projects
    • Strong interpersonal skills to build and foster positive client relationships
    • Perform activities to improve the reliability and efficiency of operations
