Network Engineer jobs in South Carolina
Network Engineer develops and deploys plans and designs of network systems that will meet an organization's requirements for performance, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Conducts network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. Being a Network Engineer defines monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans and strategies to ensure the network is responsive to changes in demand. Troubleshoots network issues and develops appropriate solutions, resources, and deployment processes. Additionally, Network Engineer keeps informed of the latest technologies to enhance knowledge of networking hardware, software, and best practices. May be certified in vendor-specific products. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Network Engineer work is closely managed. Scope of the Project:
This is a broad position that will work with all aspects of the systems and network area.
Role Summary/ Purpose:
The candidate will be technically proficient in their area and will act as a point of reference for the team on technical issues, as well as be a leader who mentors other less experienced engineers. This project requires work on assignments that are complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making recommendations.
This position ensures the proper day-to-day operations of internal & external connectivity as well as systems security while performing analysis/work using independent judgment.Required skills (rank in order of importance):
5-7 years systems or data centre experience
