Network Control Center Supervisor supervises network control technicians in the daily activities of a network service function to ensure efficient, reliable, and secure operations that meet users' needs. Oversees routine testing, configuration changes, or network hardware or software upgrades. Being a Network Control Center Supervisor ensures network traffic and performance monitoring processes are running to identify and troubleshoot any issues. Responds to incidents using standard incident management processes, including root cause analysis (RCA) of any issues to identify and deploy corrective actions. Additionally, Network Control Center Supervisor coordinates with vendors and service providers to ensure required service and quality levels are delivered. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Network Control Center Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Network Control Center Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensuring the integrity of network availability through 24-hour, real-time monitoring of all network elements and other associated alarm reporting equipment.
    • Ensuring accurate provisioning of customer services when necessary.
    • Ensuring that customers are promptly notified of conditions that may potentially affect service.
    • Ensuring timely, efficient, and accurate maintenance of databases holding customer data.
    • Ensuring all team members provide superior customer service to external and internal customers.
    • Developing departmental schedule and staffing shifts appropriately.
    • Coordinating restoration activities during major service disruptions including notification of the service center, service operations, and management personnel.
    • Coordinating work activities with service operations personnel during maintenance actions/activities.
    • Overseeing the development and maintenance of NOC standard operating, escalation, and notification procedures.

    Required Knowledge and Skills:
    The work requires the knowledge and ability to:

    • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing to provide technical customer service, technical support, supervision and guidance to others.
    • Understand and maintain a strong knowledge of voice and data networking architectures and personal computers.
    • Have technical aptitude and analytical skills to understand the network and interpret the impact of consequences of faults and failures.
    • Work requires good problem-solving skills.
    • Critical thinking skills and ability to control and manage several projects simultaneously and prioritize accordingly.
    • 2-year technical degree or bachelor’s degree with concentration in mathematics, computer science and/or MIS.
    • Completion of MTCNA, Net , Security or higher is required within 6 months of date of hire.
    • A minimum of 4 years of on-the-job training would be needed to gain knowledge of SRT’s network, technologies, policies, and procedures.
    • 2 years’ experience in supervisory capacity is recommended.
