Position Overview:
As the Mortgage Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of mortgage operations within our Jacksonville office. From managing loan processing and underwriting to ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our mortgage division. We're looking for a strategic leader who can inspire and motivate teams to deliver exceptional results while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to the mortgage operations team, including loan processors, underwriters, closers, and support staff.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency, improve turnaround times, and enhance the overall customer experience.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing mortgage lending activities.
• Collaborate with senior management to establish performance metrics, goals, and objectives for the operations department.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly assess departmental performance against established benchmarks.
• Implement training programs and mentorship initiatives to develop the skills and expertise of team members.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and teamwork within the operations department.
• Serve as a point of contact for escalations and complex loan scenarios, providing guidance and resolution as needed.
• Liaise with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and risk management, to ensure seamless coordination and communication.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in mortgage operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Thorough understanding of mortgage lending regulations, including RESPA, TILA, and TRID.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data and reports.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Proven track record of driving process improvements and achieving operational excellence.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Mortgage lending industry certifications (e.g., CMB, CML, AMP) preferred.
