We are seeking a Mortgage Loan Pre-Closer to join our team in Charlotte! 

Working under the direction of other Mortgage Loan Closing staff, the Mortgage Loan Pre-Closer is responsible for providing closing support to the Mortgage Closing Team. The Mortgage Loan Pre-Closer will request, collect, and review closing documents for closing files, assist with post-closing activities, as needed, and perform other duties as may be deemed necessary. 

WHAT You'll DO: 

• Log in Closing packages in accordance with policies and procedures.  
• Complete closing disclosure contact information and borrower certifications.  
• Perform OFAC checks and investigate positive hits.  
• Request, review, and correct preliminary title information. 
• Review pest inspections and request additional documents when necessary.  
• Review insurance binders and obtain corrections, as needed.  
• Request Verification of Employment updates. 
• Review file invoices for payments.  
• Process wire requests. 
• Assist with post-closing tasks, as needed. 
• Perform other duties as may be deemed necessary. 

WHAT You’ll NEED: 

• High School diploma or equivalent plus 1 year’s work experience.  
• Strong commitment to our mission – creating economic opportunity for traditionally underserved communities. 
• Preference for working in organizations that place priority on teamwork and collaboration. 
• Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize work while meeting deadlines.  
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.  
• Strong customer service skills.  
• Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment.  
• Ability to learn mortgage closing process, requirements, and compliance requirements.  
• Strong technical aptitude including the ability to learn new systems and proficiency with Word and Excel.  
• Ability and willingness to work beyond normal work hours, as needed.
