Microbiologist jobs in Ohio

Currently hiring multiple long term openings in a Food Science lab doing biological testing on baby formula. This is an Entry Level role that requires an Bachelors Degree in a Science related field (Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Food Science, Biochemistry, etc.) An ideal candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in Science and previous experience in a FDA regulated GMP environment.

This opening is on a 3nd shift working a 2-2-3 schedule.

Job Description:

• Microbiological skills including:

o Aerobic plate counts

o Most probable number analysis

o Isolating and identifying bacterial cultures

o ELISA

o PCR

o Media preparation

o Good aseptic technique

• Routine laboratory functions

o Date entry and validation

o Maintaining bacterial control cultures

o Instrument calibration, maintenance, and repair

o Maintaining the laboratory and notebooks in an always audit prepared state

o Inventory, maintaining 5S organization, and cleaning

• Process Validation and Protocol Support

o Process equipment inspections and sample collection

o Allergen testing
