Position Summary
We are seeking Microbiologist to join a dynamic and growing team at Nanobiofab (NBF). NBF is tasked with delivering next generation pathogen identification systems. As a result we are seeking highly motivated and detail oriented technician who is looking for a full time or part time position
Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Apply quantitative microbiology methods and optimize assays from wound beds, explants, urine etc. as needed
- Experience with R&D microbiology and animal work
- Conduct microbiological testing and analysis to support the development and validation of products, including collecting and interpreting data related to bacterial presence and behavior in wound environments and human diseases.
- Develop and implement protocols for microbiological experiments, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Perform hands-on microbiological testing, including sample processing, culturing, and identification of microorganisms using a variety of laboratory techniques and equipment.
- Design, conduct, and oversee animal model studies to evaluate the efficacy and safety of products, including planning experiments, testing, and analyzing results.
- Manage and maintain the microbiology laboratory, ensuring all equipment is properly calibrated, functioning, and compliant with safety and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with the Laboratory Technical Director and Medical Director to ensure regulatory compliance, including the preparation and maintenance of documentation for regulatory submissions and audits.
- Lead and mentor laboratory staff, providing technical guidance and support to ensure high-quality performance and professional development.
- Develop and manage laboratory budgets, including planning for capital expenditures and operational costs.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in microbiological methods and technologies, and implement innovative solutions to improve laboratory processes and product validation.
- Present findings and progress to stakeholders, including internal teams, regulatory bodies, and potential investors.
- Drive innovation in the microbiology and animal model testing programs, identifying and integrating new technologies and methodologies.
- Ensure all laboratory activities are performed in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) and Good Clinical Practices (GCPs), maintaining high standards of quality and integrity.
Qualifications
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Education: master's, or doctoral degree in microbiology, biology, chemistry or a related field of study. More than 5 years R&D laboratory experience preferred.
Work experience: Proficiency in hands-on microbiology
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen or Green Card holder or equivalent
Computer skills: Must have reasonable computer skills and experience with relevant software including MS Office
Interpersonal Skills: Must be a strong problem solver, decision maker, and communicator.
