Merchandise Planner plans and forecasts for future merchandise buys based on historical buys, reoccurring buys and current inventory levels. Responsible for reviewing stock to sales ratios, responding to changing sales trends, and ensuring plan sales, plan markups, and plan markdowns are achieved by departments. Being a Merchandise Planner plans and coordinates merchandise flow-through. Inputs and maintains data in various merchandising systems. Additionally, Merchandise Planner may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Merchandise Planner gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.   • Summary

    The Maintenance Planner is responsible for the management of (planning, tracking, and overall direction) of the PM processes, major repairs, parts coordination for repairs, scheduling or repairs and auditing of repair processes.

    Essential Functions

    To Perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function.

    • Using independent judgment, ensure all aspects of the equipment maintenance process are timely and accurately managed in accordance with the company’s procedures and policies with special attention to the needs and expectations of the company’s internal and external customers.
    • Manage and coordinate the adding, editing and deleting of assets and their PM’s in the company’s Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
    • Establish project scope and timelines to meet and where possible exceed internal and external customers’ expectations while prioritizing and coordinating projects based on availability of resources and impact to the company and the external customer.
    • Administer the project change management system, verifying, analyzing, directing, and communicating requested amendments to product system setup.
    • Create and assign PM’s for new and existing equipment as opportunities arise from OEM manuals, past experience and Good Manufacturing Practices. These will include frequency and assignment in the companies CMMS.
    • Work with Engineering and be the key resource for equipment install and project task implementation. Successful project leadership includes but not limited to assigning of tasks, getting equipment/tools as needed and keeping project on task by working with maintenance management and team to meet engineering deadlines.
    • Audit PM work orders that the maintenance team has completed in a manner that enables growth and success through feedback, training, and encouragement.
    • Edit preventive maintenance tasks and work orders as needed.
    • Plan continuous improvement projects with the maintenance team and follow to project completion. Audit projects for quality of work and completion of tasks.
    • Establish and maintain a strong communication plan and project record keeping system including keeping senior management and department team leaders fully apprised of project progress.
    • Formulate and explore opportunities for continuous process improvement with a focus on the company's strategic goals of profitability and positive industry recognition and delighting our customers.
    • Maintain an open and candid working relationship with immediate supervisor/manager in discussing matters of importance.
    • Audit PM work orders that the maintenance team has completed in a manner that enables growth and success through feedback, training, and encouragement.
    • Use independent judgment to ensure that team members follow company policy and maintain a safe work environment by encouraging safe practices and promptly resolving violations, including initiating or recommending rewards and discipline as needed.
    • Plan continuous improvement projects with maintenance team and follow job to completion. Audit jobs for quality of work and completion of tasks.
    • Adhere to established company values, practices, policies and procedures at all times. Follow and support compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards.
    • Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location.

    Minimum Experience, Education, And Certifications

    An individual qualified for this job must have and maintain the following qualifications:

    • 2- year technical school degree in a related field and 5 or more years of related work experience, or any satisfactory combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above duties.
    • At least 12-15 years of experience in an advanced technical position,
    • Journeyman electrical license is a plus.

    Physical Demands Of Essential Functions

    • Remain in a stationary position while troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
    • Regularly move about to access different parts of the plant and when transporting parts, equipment and sections of conveyor weighing up to 40 pounds.
    • Move and position products when installing and repairing motors, gearboxes, and conveyors weighing up to 40 pounds.
    • Position products on pallets/carts and maneuver gearboxes and motors requiring up to 85 pounds of force.
    • Position oneself to access lower levels of equipment when repairing, trouble shooting, or installing parts.
    • Reach forward and overhead when accessing various areas of equipment.
    • Ascend/descend stairs/ladders to access and work atop conveyors, using scissor and boom lifts, and when trouble shooting and hanging conveyors.
    • Operate, position, and use a wide variety of hand tools and equipment, as well as a computer keyboard and mouse.
    • Perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels and have the ability to exchange detailed information.
    • Move about the manufacturing facility to observe and effectively communicate with team members and perform job duties.
    • Visually ob serve and interact with associates and equipment in the plant setting.

    • The individual will work primarily in an office setting in the same room as other individuals. Noise levels are average for an office and include conversation and/or office equipment noise.
    • The individual will be expected to work in a manufacturing plant environment, which may include being exposed to work in high, precarious and confined spaces, outdoor weather conditions, work near moving mechanical parts, and extreme heat. Typical noise level is loud. The individual may be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
