Description
The Membership Manager oversees membership operations and serves as the primary representative of the IDS Membership program, acting as a liaison between IDS and its members. The primary goal of this role is to gain and maintain IDS memberships. Tasks include developing membership recruitment and retention campaigns, chapter and volunteer management, reporting and analysis, and database management. This individual should be numbers-driven and will work closely with the Executive Director, local chapters, and several IDS National Committees.
Membership Manager Responsibilities
Membership Retention and Recruitment
· Develop goals and action plans for membership development and retention, including membership campaigns.
· Implement systems to identify potential IDS Members.
· Manage current membership benefits programs, ensuring that they are valuable and current to industry progression.
· Identify new opportunities for improved benefits to separate IDS from other organizations.
· Work with marketing team to maintain regular member outreach through newsletter, social media outlets and IDS National website.
· Manage Continuing Education credits required for IDS Members.
· Provide analysis of all membership reports and trends to Executive Director and Board of Directors monthly.
· Oversee Membership Committee.
· Manage membership database ensuring that all information is up to date and accurate.
Chapter Management
· Manage all local chapters, acting as their primary contact.
· Work with chapter leaders on membership recruitment and retention strategies.
· Oversee virtual chapter including planning bi-monthly meetings.
· Collect necessary paperwork from all chapters.
· Identify and develop future chapter locations.
Membership Manager Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree
· 5 years of experience in association membership or sales
· Experience working with volunteers
· Numbers driven
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to think creatively and collaborate with a team
· Exceptional customer service skills
· Ability to work occasional nights/weekends for special events
Annual Salary Range: $56,000 - $61,000
Must be able to work from IDS Headquarters in High Point, NC
