The Masonic Library and Museum of Pennsylvania - Philadelphia Campus - is immediately hiring a Full Time Day Museum Associate.

What You'll Do:

As a Museum Associate, you will serve as an overall resource to the Library and Museum to assist with carrying out the objectives as identified by Management.

Our Museum Associate are responsible for the following:

• Responsible to work in the Masonic Library and Museum Gift Shop or front desk as required to maintain full coverage as needed.
• Plans and executes tours and other programs for museum visitors of all age.
• Assist colleagues in mounting exhibits and writing exhibit text.
• Assist the Curator/Librarian/Gift Shop in the daily operation of the Masonic Library and Museum of Pennsylvania.
• Perform basic book and paper conservation and preservation using accepted techniques. This includes suggesting items to be sent to a professional paper conservator, framer or the bindery as necessary and checking in returned items.
• Answer reference questions of the Brethren, other researchers and colleagues using the Masonic Library and Museum Collections.
• Research and write for publication in library, museum related academic fields.
• Carefully watches the safety and condition of objects on display.

What You Have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Arts, History, or a relevant field of study.
• Computer skills which include Microsoft Word and Sydney Plus software.
• Ability to project a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work assignments.
• Ability to work independently.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
