Medical Staff Credentialing Specialist processes credentialing and recredentialing applications for health care providers. Mails, reviews, and verifies credentialing applications. Being a Medical Staff Credentialing Specialist loads and maintains provider information in an online credentialing database system. Tracks license and certification expirations for medical staff to ensure timely renewals. Additionally, Medical Staff Credentialing Specialist handles and resolves inquiries regarding credentialing information, process, or status. Requires a high school diploma. May require Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS). Typically reports to a supervisor. The Medical Staff Credentialing Specialist works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Medical Staff Credentialing Specialist typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. Job Description
The Staff Accountant - OneCare Vermont is responsible for performing various duties related to the completion of timely and accurate monthly financial statements for The University of Vermont Medical Center and related entities, including workpapers for assigned general ledger accounts. He/she will record transactions for designated sections of The University of Vermont Medical Center financial statements. He/she may also be assigned initial responsibility for maintaining the financial records of an entire related entity. He/she is also responsible for providing support to the financial specialists, senior and lead accountants and department managers as well as providing backup for other staff accountants as needed.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, required within two years of hire and/or would consider Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field, combined with related work experience.
Experience
