Medical Staff Credentialing Director is responsible for all aspects of the verification process for medical staff incumbents. Provides regulatory oversight and guidance to the credentialing process. Being a Medical Staff Credentialing Director maintains working knowledge and ensures continuing compliance with state, federal, and institutional standards and guidelines. Develops and implements policies and protocols related to medical staff verifications and ensures that the organization and staff are in accordance with organizational and industry standards. Additionally, Medical Staff Credentialing Director analyzes reports on applications and credential status to identify trends and improve the credentialing process. Presents files to the credentialing committee and may act as a liaison to state medical licensure boards regarding the status of license applications. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS). Typically reports to senior management. The Medical Staff Credentialing Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Medical Staff Credentialing Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     The Credentialing Manager is required to be on site at our office near Arapahoe Rd and I-25 with the possibility of up to 2 days hybrid per week.

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a motivated and hands on Credentialing Manager to join our dynamic team. The Credentialing Specialist will be responsible for managing and maintaining internal credentialing files for our clinical staff, as well as coordinating and submitting credentialing to external vendors, including insurance, post-acute care facilities and hospitals. This role reports to the Practice Manager and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of Summit Medical Consultants.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage credentialing processes for all clinical staff, ensuring compliance with guidelines and standards.
    • Evaluate, analyze, and coordinate all aspects of credentialing for assigned facilities and payer credentialing partners.
    • Review and audit credentialing applications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
    • Coordinate timely submission of provider credentialing applications to external vendors and facilities.
    • Communicate credentialing changes to facilities and providers on a regular basis.
    • Monitor turnaround times for processing credentialing applications and escalate issues as needed.
    • Provide updates to Owners and Leadership on credentialing status at assigned facilities.
    • Participate in process improvements for credentialing procedures.
    • Manage provider access to facility EHR systems and practice systems.
    • Maintain accurate records of credentialing requests and activities.
    • Drive to facilities or other practice locations as required.
    • Participate in Admin On Call rotation.
    • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 2 years of physician / APP credentialing experience, preferably in the post-acute facility setting.
    • Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation.
    • Ability to work independently in a high pace environment.
    • Exceptional organizational skills.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
