Job Description

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Medical Laboratory Technician at Naval Health Clinic in Hawaii.

Position Overview: 

This position provides laboratory services in support of patient care and treatment.

This contract position offers:

• Monday - Friday
• Daytime hours (40 hours week)
• Paid Time Off & Paid Federal Holidays
• Medical/Dental/Vision Coverage, & 401k

Job Responsibilities: 

• Screens patient information and collects and processes specimens for testing.
• Performs testing in the Microbiology, Chemistry, Serology, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Immunohematology sections including specimen receipt, preparation, analysis, and reporting of results.
• Checks patient identification.
• Orders and accessions tests into the Composite Health Care System.

Position Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must have commenced from a US accredited program.
• Completion of High school with courses in general science, biology, psychology and chemistry is mandatory.
• Possess a current certification or equivalent as a Medical Technologist by the American Medical Technologists
• Possess a minimum of two years of experience within the last three years as a Medical Laboratory Technologist.
• BLS Certification.
