Materials Handling Supervisor supervises and coordinates the work of employees who load and unload material within a warehouse or storage facility. Processes orders from requisitions and dispenses items from stock. Being a Materials Handling Supervisor oversees the utilization of hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from aircraft, trucks or trains and within the storage facility. Prepares work schedules, assigns work, and oversees the work product. Additionally, Materials Handling Supervisor ensures procedures are according to specifications and that resources are used effectively and work schedules and targets are met. May assist in inventory of stock and stock rotation. Enters information into a computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records, retrieve stored data, or respond to inquiries about inventory levels or delivery schedules. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Materials Handling Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision.     ATR Lead Sample Handling Supervisor

    Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Lead Sample Handling Supervisor to work in our Advanced Test Reactor (ATR) organization. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our ATR facility with every Friday off.

    You will report to the ATR Maintenance Division Director and you will function as the ATR Lead Critical Lift Person In Charge (CLPIC) and Sample Handling Job Supervisor (SHJS).

    Responsibilities Include:

      Provide training to new Critical Lift and Sample Handling Teams.
      Oversee ATR Sample Handling cask maintenance, Hoisting and Rigging (H&R) equipment, and cranes maintenance. Inspection and testing is completed following company procedures.
      Support development and revision of the documentation to perform critical lifts. Support the review and generation of procedures used for performing critical lifts in the Advance Test Complex including CIC and sample handling procedures.
      Maintain knowledge of the nuclear industry, DOE H&R Standard, and national consensus standards to ensure innovation in performance of H&R and maintenance activities at the ATR Complex.
      Collaborate with senior management, multiple INL organizations, and with external customers such as the DOE and NNL. May be designated as ATR complex Hoisting and Rigging SME/POC or representative on INL committee in field of H&R expertise.
      Perform other staff responsibilities as assigned.
    QUALIFICATIONS


    Minimum Requirements:

      Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, an advanced degree and a minimum of 1 year relevant of experience, or at least 10 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
      Technical knowledge of nuclear maintenance and operation techniques, configuration management, and H&R activities, codes and standards.
      Demonstrated experience managing and overseeing a diverse group of represented and non-represented employees to safely perform H&R activities.
      Working knowledge of bargaining unit labor agreements.
      This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

    Job Information:

      Salary Grades: PR0200 - 190- ($72,528 - $119,652) / PR0300 - 200 ($83,412 - $137,592)

      TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
