Job Overview: We are looking to hire a boat captain. Reliability, trustworthiness, great communication and providing good customer service is imperative to this position. It also has its perks as the hours are not bad. Location: Boat is docked in a private slip on Lake Conroe. Weekly Responsibilities: • Check boats once a week, gas them up as needed by bringing gas cans to boats • One general cleaning per boat. • Testing and checking stock of safety equipment and necessary items for charters. Responsibilities on day of charter: • •Arrive at the boat slip with plenty of time to get ready for the charter, usually 30-60 minutes early depending on how ready you've got the boat set up during the week. • Light cleaning pre-charter• Be on-time to the pickup location. Requirements: • Must have completed or be willing to complete a Texas Parks & Wildlife boat safety course if you were born after September 1, 1993 and a party barge captains license • Must be friendly and accommodating with a natural customer service mentality. • Must be willing to work Friday, just about every Saturday, some Sunday's and most holidays (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day). • Must have a clean criminal record. • Position requires general fitness, being able to lift up to 50 pounds, and being able to swim. While it is not a requirement to have experience as a boat captain, it is important to have experience on the water and a level of comfort driving a boat, docking, and setting anchor.
