SUMMARY
The Marketing Communications Specialist will play an integral role in programmatic and organizational marketing and audience development goals in support of behavioral health programs, while also providing exemplary day-to-day management of marketing and communications operations. A passion for organizational storytelling, a love of creating compelling new ways to reach potential audiences, and an affinity for our community will find the work of this position to be immensely rewarding. The Marketing and Communications Specialist will report to the Director of Strategic Vision and work closely with the management team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Works under the direction of the CEO, CCO, Consumer Advocate, Director of Strategic Vision and others as instructed.
Works collaboratively with agency directors on special projects to respond rapidly to emerging marketing or community speaking opportunities.
Maintains regular contact with agency directors and key decision-makers to gather news and information about company activities, achievements, and plans, and develops content based on that information.
Creates comprehensive communication plans, speeches, and scripts; produces specialized publications and articles; generates content for internal and external communication, including print and web advertising. Supports system-wide priorities and initiatives through strategic communications to enhance organizational effectiveness.
Creates and maintains a marketing budget aligned with the agency's goals. Handles promotional items and marketing material, including ordering, inventory management, and distribution at career fairs, resources fairs, and community events.
Establish and maintain standing relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
Graphic Design
Collaborate with leadership to create or provide updated graphic assets for day-to-day programs and events including program materials, social media posts, on-site event assets, etc.
Coordinate strategic graphic design needs for fundraising campaigns, program launches, etc.
Responsible for positive community branding for the agency
Social Media
Manage and execute engaging social media activities including writing creative copy, designing assets (video, text, and photo), building and executing posts, reporting and analysis.
Collaborate with leadership to build and coordinate the social media calendar leveraging social media channels to promote events, programs and campaigns.
Coordinate commenting and direct messaging across all social channels (monitor brand mentions and interactions)
Collaborate with internal and external partners to set and achieve actionable metrics and monitor the success of social media campaigns, prepare reports.
Ensure content is written, published and technically built so that it reaches the largest audience possible, which may include paid ad placements.
Continue to build an online community by increasing followers and engagement.

Manage the Hope Community Services, Inc. website to implement recommended web engagement strategies and tactics.
Monitor online reputation and analyze web traffic.
Brand Development
Reinforce brand voice and social media identity to promote a service environment for individuals in need of behavioral health and/or co-occurring services that is recovery-focused, welcoming, and attentive to the needs of individuals who may have experienced trauma in their lives.
Conducts community outreach.
Represents the agency in public meetings, professional organization meetings, and conferences, as instructed.
Coordinate overall marketing communications strategy and tactics.
Organize brand assets, photography (obtains releases), and graphics used for social initiatives.
Participates with Human Resources in on-site and virtual Job Fairs and employee recruitment practices.
Coordinates the development of the agency newsletter, quarterly/yearly community newsletter, and annual report.
Assists with the development and execution of marketing plans and programs, both short and long-range, to ensure the profit growth and expansion of agency services.
May be required to work flexible hours for special projects which may include evenings or weekends.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university in a communications field with 3 years' experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
May be required to obtain and maintain first aid and/or CPR certifications.
Required to travel and must provide a copy of valid Oklahoma driver license and motor vehicle report to human resources offices and must meet agency insurance requirements.
