Market Research Supervisor supervises activities in the market research department. Ensures appropriate use of analytic techniques to determine demand for products and services. Being a Market Research Supervisor interprets and predicts consumer trends, formulates research and development proposals, and monitors research projects. A level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. Additionally, Market Research Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
1.Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or other relevant field, preferred.
2.Minimum five (5) years of progressive management roles, within the fireworks, pyrotechnics or entertainment industry, preferred.
3.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or 5 years of experience in an industrial environment managing projects/programs.
4.Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred or able to achieve certification within one year of employment.
5.Experience using AutoCAD preferred.
6.Must be able to receive clearance from Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (BATFE).
7.Must possess a valid state driver's license.
8.Be able to read, speak, and understand English language.
JOB DUTIES:
1.Manage subordinate department heads in Crew Scheduling and Services, Permitting and Compliance, Show Production and Design.
2.Oversee the creation of necessary documents for the safe and successful installation of fireworks displays, including: equipment lists, plant requirements, schematics of equipment install, production plans and resource lists, including vendor requirements such as, scaffolding companies, rigging companies, etc.
3.Oversee the creation of resource lists for upcoming projects.
4.Manage the creation of production itineraries.
5.Work with our Factory Fireworks Logistics and Production Director to create production schedules for packing, labeling and manufacturing the product to support firework displays.
6.Generate and manage a yearly budget.
