Market Research Director is responsible for the market research department. Directs and oversees an organization's marketing policies, objectives, and initiatives. Being a Market Research Director manages a team to review changes to the marketplace and industry and adjusts marketing plan accordingly. Analyzes existing goals and programs and recommends improvements. Additionally, Market Research Director requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a top management. The Market Research Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
1.Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or other relevant field, preferred.
2.Minimum five (5) years of progressive management roles, within the fireworks, pyrotechnics or entertainment industry, preferred.
3.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or 5 years of experience in an industrial environment managing projects/programs.
4.Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred or able to achieve certification within one year of employment.
5.Experience using AutoCAD preferred.
6.Must be able to receive clearance from Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (BATFE).
7.Must possess a valid state driver's license.
8.Be able to read, speak, and understand English language.
JOB DUTIES:
1.Manage subordinate department heads in Crew Scheduling and Services, Permitting and Compliance, Show Production and Design.
2.Oversee the creation of necessary documents for the safe and successful installation of fireworks displays, including: equipment lists, plant requirements, schematics of equipment install, production plans and resource lists, including vendor requirements such as, scaffolding companies, rigging companies, etc.
3.Oversee the creation of resource lists for upcoming projects.
4.Manage the creation of production itineraries.
5.Work with our Factory Fireworks Logistics and Production Director to create production schedules for packing, labeling and manufacturing the product to support firework displays.
6.Generate and manage a yearly budget.
