Northland Machine is seeking WEEKEND OPERATORS to Join Our Team!

This position would run Friday - Sunday 5:30pm - 6am
(individual would get paid for a full 40hours!)

Responsibilities would include but are not limited to;

• Running CNC programs that support the machining of large or small scale, complex, precision metal components fabricated on multiple-axis CNC milling and/or turning machining centers
• Running parts on a multiple axis CNC machining center using blueprints to compare geometric dimensions and tolerances.
• Documenting and communicating setup to others including management and/or incoming machinists or operators.
• Identifying, selecting, and/or procuring appropriate tooling for job specific applications (based on part material, geometry, features, tolerances, system rigidity, and equipment capability)
• Performing daily maintenance of machines as required, keeping Supervisor informed of any necessary maintenance that is beyond operator ability
• Handling materials safely and appropriately
• Inspecting finished parts, DA and de-burr as needed
• Maintaining a clean and safe workspace
• Following all safety and GMP practices and procedures

Desired Characteristics

• Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
• Ability to prep for next job while running machine and understands how to eliminate downtime
• On time and dependable
• Ability to lift 30 up to 50lbs on a required basis.
• Ability to move or transfer parts with a crane or hand cart
• Ability to stand and/or stay active for 12hours

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high, hearing protection is recommended. Safety glasses are required at all times while on the shop floor due to metal debris.

Pay: $17.00 - $26.00 per hour
