Overview

NLC’s Training Specialists uphold the integrity of educational methods, ensure that NLC core values are being met. By acting as a mentor, they will improve the life of our students who in turn will improve lives, the industries we serve, and the country. This position holds training in such high regard they will continually inspire others to excel and succeed, which will ensure only "First Choice" students are introduced to all internal and external customers of our industry.

*UP TO 30% TRAVEL REQUIREMENT WITH THIS ROLE

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

• Conducts field and classroom training using the 4-step delivery method.
• Prepares for knowledge and skill delivery each term in a proactive manner.
• Maintains updated and current knowledge on all programs and catalogs.
• Identifies short falls and provides solutions ensuring the campus is always ready to deliver training.
• Works to identify and resolve areas of improvement and set professional goals.
• Identifies and recommends different approaches to training sessions, such as new materials, methodologies, and activities to enhance the learning experience of our students.
• Behaves in a way that encourages and inspires students and co-workers and contributes to a work environment that promotes teamwork and respect.
• Adheres to the Instructors Creed, Spirit Book, and Our Way manual. Shows the “What’s best for the student?” mindset.

Required Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or GED
• Journey level attainment in their craft (documentation showing status of journey level)
• Certified in CPR, First Aid, and demonstrated proficiency in all pre-apprentice competencies
• Knowledge of and/or certifications in regulations applying to craft trades such as OSHA, NESC, etc.
• Ability to travel 30-50%

Preferred Qualifications/ Attributes:

• Associates degree in education or other related field preferred
• Passion for training
• Ability to effectively train others in a classroom and field environment
• Proficient in the use of computers
• CDL with good driving record (must be insurable)
• High level of integrity, honesty, and professionalism
• Excellent communicator who knows how to select the right tone and medium for the message
• Adopts a high standard of friendly customer service in execution of duties
• Self-starter, highly motivated, and detail oriented

Salary

$121,617 ANNUALLY ($58.47 hourly equivalent) GREAT BENEFITS & RELOCATION ASSISTANCE TO YORK AREA
