Light Assembler assembles fabricated parts of small or light subassemblies and completes units. Fits, tests, and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Being a Light Assembler identifies and sorts units that fail quality standards. May disassemble units to repair or refit parts as necessary. Additionally, Light Assembler operates hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Light Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Job Summary: Responsible for performing repetitive bench or line assembly operations to mass‐produce or assemble pre‐ formed products: Places parts in specified relationship to each other. Deburrs, bolts, clips, screws, cements or otherwise cleans and fastens parts together by hand, or using hand tools or portable power tools. May tend machines, such as manual riveting tool, to perform force fitting or fastening operations on assembly line. May be assigned to different workstations as production needs require. May work on line where tasks vary as different model of same article moves along line.

Required Skills
· Must be mechanically inclined and knowledge of basic hand/power tools
· Have knowledge of many assemblies
· Ability to troubleshoot issues as well as assist neighboring assemblers

· High School Diploma or Equivalent
