Life insurance underwriters have long relied on motor vehicle records (MVRs) to provide valuable insight into the risks presented by proposed insureds.  Many predictive value studies have shown higher mortality rates associated with driving under the influence, reckless driving, suspensions, speeding, and distracted driving.  MVRs are a predictive data source that can indicate an individual’s all-cause mortality across a wide spectrum of ages and genders.
