The Morrow County Clerk of Courts is hiring a full-time Deputy Clerk for the legal office. The applicant must be detail oriented, efficient, and able to work amicably with the public, attorneys, court staff, law enforcement, and other county offices.
Candidates must have:
o broad knowledge of office practices and procedures
o excellent computer skills, (Windows based)
o good analytical and organizational skills
o efficient filing capabilities
o outstanding communication skills
o ability to multi-task
o fluent in Microsoft Work and Excel
Job duties include, but are not limited to, processing and docketing pleadings, scanning the pleadings into the case management system (CourtView), preparing service forms to serve parties, and mailing copies of items filed to attorneys and parties involved in cases. In addition, answer questions either in person or via phone/fax/email regarding cases, and make contact when needed with law enforcement agencies and Attorneys regarding cases.
Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures is a plus.
A minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required.
The starting salary for this position is $18.00 per hour, bi-weekly pay.
