**Overview:**

We are seeking a skilled Legal Secretary to join our client in Homewood's team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal administrative support and possess excellent organizational skills.

**Responsibilities:**

- Assist attorney in preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs

- Conduct legal research using resources like Lexis-Nexis/CLEO

- Maintain and organize physical and electronic files

- Proofread legal documents for accuracy

- Manage attorney calendars and appointments

- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court personnel

- Assist in preparing for trials and hearings

- Litigation experience is REQUIRED

**Skills:**

- Proficient in legal administrative procedures

- Strong research abilities

- Ability to assist attorneys in litigating cases

- Experience with Lexis-Nexis or similar legal research tools, including AlaCourt

- Excellent file management skills

- Proficient in proofreading legal documents for errors

- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
