New Mexico Legal Group is seeking a proactive, results- and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our cutting-edge divorce and family law firm. The ideal candidate must have a strong work ethic, support a radical culture and core values, demonstrate a great attendance record and be drama free! The amazing Legal Assistants at NMLG are responsible for assisting Paralegals and Attorneys in all aspects of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, property division, and other related matters.
Specific duties will include:
- Opening, Organizing and Maintaining Electronic and Paper Attorney Files
- Assisting with Calendaring Consults, Appointments, Hearings, Pre-Trial Interviews, Depositions, Settlement Facilitations, Mediations, and Deadlines
- Drafting Pleadings, Request for Hearings, Notices for Hearings
- E-filing with Courts
- Processing Payments

Education and Experience
- High-school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Progress toward or completion of Paralegal certification preferred
- 1-2 years of Legal Assistant experience preferred
- Clio (or other) case management software experience preferred but not required
- Experience working in an environment where metrics and continuous improvement is a way of life
