Leasing Specialist
We are looking for Leasing Specialists to Join our growing company in Fargo ND. As a Leasing Specialist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service in person and by phone to current and potential residents by showing open apartments, resolving issues, assisting in the marketing of the property, and participating in resident appreciation events on a regularly basis. Duties & Responsibilities – Include the following, other duties may be assigned.
· Show apartments to prospective residents, sell prospects on the apartment and process rental applications, prepare leases and any necessary leasing paperwork for files, scan and print as needed.
· Follow up with prospects to continue the sales process and keep traffic documentation on all prospects.
· Obtain proper information for credit and background checks and track all prospect information and contacts made.
· Communicate professionally and effectively with Residents promptly answer phones and respond to voice messages in a timely matter.
· Follow all Fair Housing and EPA laws and regulations as well as government programs such as Section 42, Section 8, and MN 4(d) when leasing an apartment.
· Assists in the preparation and implementation of the marketing campaign to effectively market the apartments.
· Respond to requests, questions, and complaints, making referrals to manager or maintenance staff as appropriate
· Assists in delivering resident notices including five-day and other eviction notices.
· Assists in daily rent collection, and communicates with residents to ensure information is correct on any Service Requests, name, apartment, phone, permission to enter, etc.
Experience & Education:
· Strong sales skills, confidence, and drive to close the sale.
· Strong Customer service, communication skills, and ability to relate to a diverse group of people.
· Basic computer skills, fax machine, copy machine, AppFolio software knowledge is preferred but will train.
· Ability to work unsupervised and be self-motivated while motivating others.
· Well-organized, self-directed who is a team player
· High school degree or equivalent.
· Prior experience in Leasing or a related industry is preferred, but not required.
· Subject to work weekends, days off during the week, extended hours, and work and attend offsite work projects.
· Ability to understand verbal communication, legible penmanship, and written requests.
· Must be willing to work in a demanding sometimes stressful environment.
· Must have a valid driver’s license, vehicle, and vehicle insurance.
