HomeSafe Alliance is the single global household goods movement manager of over 300,000 Military Household Goods moves per year for USTRANSCOM and the U.
S. Armed Forces, Department of Defense civilians, U.S. Coast Guard, and their families.
As a LEAN Expert for process improvement, you will help develop and apply LEAN tools, principles, and practices across the HomeSafe organization driving process improvements for operations, control cost, improving financial margin, and enhancing the customer experience.
You will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness, identifying, and eliminating barriers and waste, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
You will participate in continuous improvement throughout all organizational sectors. This role requires strong leadership, communication, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies.
This position offers a unique opportunity to apply advanced analytical techniques to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and deliver exceptional service in the dynamic and fast-paced environment of global household goods services in support of our DoD customer.
Responsibilities : :
Lead and drive LEAN process improvement initiatives and process improvements across the organization.
Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Identify and eliminate waste, reduce costs, improve financial margin, and increase customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help identify operational gaps and develop solutions.
Help develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOP) to streamline processes, standardized work, process maps, value stream maps, to improve effective and efficient operations.
Identify and lead participates in continuous improvement opportunities.
Monitor and track key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of LEAN initiatives.
Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the progress of LEAN initiatives.
Provide LEAN guidance and coaching to organizational personnel.
Qualification and Skill Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in business or logistics supply chain management; MBA or Supply Chain Management. Master’s degree preferred.
2-4 years of proven experience in driving LEAN process improvement initiatives resulting in significant customer experience improvement, cost control, and financial margin improvement.
LEAN Expert certified or Lean Sig Sigma Blackbelt certified.
Must be a U.S. citizen due to contractual requirements.
Strong operational hands-on knowledge of LEAN process improvement projects with significant improvement for customer experience, cost control, and P&L margin improvement.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Ability to work under minimal supervision and remote.
Proven experience in LEAN tools and methodologies, hands on Value Stream Mapping (VSM), the 5S system, Kaizen, etc., preferably within the logistics and transportation industry.
