Laboratory Information Systems Coordinator coordinates, develops, and maintains the scope and performance of laboratory information systems projects. Maintains project documentation by formulating and implementing policies and procedures. Being a Laboratory Information Systems Coordinator maintains and updates the system. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Laboratory Information Systems Coordinator typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Laboratory Information Systems Coordinator supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Geographic Information Systems Technician

  • We are looking for either a geologist, an environmental scientist, or an environmental engineer who has extensive GIS experience preparing technical reports and presentations that explain their research and findings for projects they are working on. Candidates should know your local environmental regulations, technical guidance, and risk assessments.


    Essential Job Functions:

    • Proficiency with GPS and GIS technologies to support technical fieldwork and reporting.
    • Working knowledge of ArcGIS and AutoCAD
    • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in geological technology.
    • Contractor Oversight
    • Groundwater, soil, and air sampling
    • Site Inspections
    • Remediation System O&M
    • This position would require approximately 75% travel within North Dakota and surrounding states. The Bismarck office supports the oil exploration and production industry in the following areas: Environmental Engineering, Contamination Assessment and Remediation, Environmental Compliance, Property Transfer Assessments, and Permitting.
    • Act as the technical lead and provide technical advice and contribute to the development of conclusions and recommendations for assigned projects.
    • Develop and maintain department databases and informational resources.
    • Develop and maintain report templates to meet the requirements of industry protocols.
    • Remain up to date on industry practices and protocols.
    • Office tasks may include reviewing and interpreting data and preparing reports and work plans; client, subcontractor, and regulatory agency interaction; and developing and implementing remedial strategies.




    Required Education and Certifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, related environmental/engineering field, or equivalent experience.


    Required Skills and Abilities:

    • GIS Certification
    • Must have a safe driving record and a valid Driver's License and must have a satisfactory driving record by the Company's driving policy.

    • Ability to pass a background check.
    • A diverse background in environmental site assessment, remediation, risk assessment, and field sampling (soils, groundwater, and surface water.)
    • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with co-workers, clients, and subcontractors.
    • Ability to meet deadlines, both internally and externally.
    • Must be able to perform complex tasks and handle multiple priorities.
    • Independently problem-solve and work autonomously with a sense of urgency.
    • Exceptional writing, grammatical, and verbal communication skills.
    • Required knowledge of computer operations and standard software packages (Microsoft Office and Adobe).
    • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and SharePoint preferred.
    • Prior experience supporting Oil and Gas is a plus
