SVL Analytical is a full-service environmental testing lab performing soil testing and water quality analysis for drinking water, surface or groundwater, and wastewater. We are looking for a chemist who has the ability to coordinate projects and work directly with our clients.
The ideal candidate would possess the knowledge to coordinate projects and work directly with our clients. Laboratory work, experience with environmental methodologies and a grasp of general regulatory requirements, coupled with analytical lab techniques and QA requirements is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Interface with bench level chemists and team leads with regards to data quality, missing or incorrect data, and turnaround time
Compliance with quality assurance program plan (QAPP)
Trouble shooting problems and recommending appropriate solutions
Assembling and reviewing data packages for validity and completeness
Performs related work as assigned
Initiating reanalysis requests as necessary
Review, tracking, and storage of data packages to ensure client deliverables
Provide outstanding customer service to clients, including phone calls and email communication regarding projects (current and upcoming).
Communicate information regarding methods, capabilities, prices, turnaround times, detection limits, and accreditation status to clients
Communicate any delay in deliverables to clients prior to passing the due date. Include an update on anticipated report delivery date and explanation as to why
Foster and sustain on-going communication with key client contacts regarding satisfaction with completed project and make inquiries into future potential work
Increase SVL’s reputation and visibility within the industry by providing outstanding technical advice to assigned key clients. Use constructive sales efforts to gain new work from these clients.
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
BS/BA in chemistry or related field
Previous laboratory and analytical experience preferred
