Jig and Fixture Builder assembles a variety of standard and non-standard major jigs, fixtures and related tooling. Ensures jigs function appropriately with complex angles or contours. Being a Jig and Fixture Builder is responsible for determining methods and sequence of operations and scheduling work to be performed from tool design drawings. Designs and creates jig and fixture details and holding devices. Additionally, Jig and Fixture Builder may be required to verify accuracy and quality in accordance with established control procedures. Requires a high school diploma in a related area with certification in the field. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Jig and Fixture Builder works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Bishop Fixture, an industry leader in the custom manufacture of store fixtures worldwide, is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to add to our talented workforce. As a woodworking machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines to create high-quality products.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Ensure that machines are running properly and producing high-quality work
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the highest standards
Requirements:
- Knowledge of woodworking principles and techniques
- Experience with CNC machines
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of how to read/use a tape measure, micrometer/caliper
- Proficient math skills
- Have the ability to lift 50# or more frequently
- Some knowledge of computers
This position would be Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm. Bishop offers Life, STD/LTD, Health, Dental and Vision insurance, 401(k)/Roth, vacation/holiday pay and more.
