Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Jeweler relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.     Lee Read operates a completely remodeled repair facility (approximately 3000 square-feet) with plenty of space to work comfortably at your own bench.

    Each dedicated jewelers bench is fully equipped and ventilated with a state of the art gold dust recovery system. We use both torch and laser welding.

    About the Bench Jeweler/stone setter/Polisher Position:

    • This is a Full-Time position.
    • Schedule; 9am to 6:30pm, 5 days a week, Tuesday though Saturday. Closed on Sunday and Mondays.
    • Hours; 9am to 6;30pm
    • The hourly wage starts at $18-$30 per hour* (based on experience) and we will help you grow your skills.
    • Full Medical-Vision-Dental Insurance after 60 days.
    • Paid Vacation and Paid Time Off upon completion of 1-year of employment.

    Job Description

    The position marries the latest technology to service the micro setting used in so many of todays styles with a clean, professional and respectful environment.

    • Each Jeweler works on 1 item at a time, start to finish. We believe pride of workmanship is important.
    • Work extensively with silver, gold, platinum, palladium.
    • Perform a full-range of repairs from general soldering, ring sizing, prong rebuilds/re-tipping, channel rebuilds, shank replacements, etc.
    • Stone setting for diamonds, colored gemstones, etc.
    • Stone tightening and prong adjustments.
    • Inspect, clean and polish jewelry.
    • Identify and recommend needed jewelry repairs.
    • Use or develop your skills in fabricating custom designs.
    • Assist Sales Team in the jewelry maintenance process when needed.

    Must Have:

    • Experience as a Bench Jeweler.
    • English language skills.
    • Ability to work as a team player with 3 to 4 other bench jewelers.
    • Confidence in your abilities.
    • Self-motivation.
    • Willingness to continually learn, improve, and share your knowledge.
