     GENERAL FUNCTION:

    Responsible for planning and executing testing efforts of systems, releases, fixes, and enhancements, including documentation, reporting, analysis, and acceptance. Partners with Project Managers, project team, and functional business leaders to steer projects to success. Ensures applications and platforms are compatible with each other. Ensures adherence to quality standards.

    Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensuring that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

    Essential Duties And Responsibilities

    Knowledge of and ability to design, plan and execute complex system testing strategies and tactics to ensure software quality at all system life cycle stages.

    • Develops and executes complex test plans and coordinates system testing efforts to comply with requirements, analyze test results, and regularly report on findings, risk, and progress.
    • Ensures the consistent adoption and utilization of common terms, artifacts, tools, technologies and communications as related to Quality Assurance within Fifth Third.
    • Develops and updates QA Testing documentation in an efficient and timely manner according to departmental standards and procedures.
    • Documents the online system and testing procedures, allowing information to be shared with new group members trying to learn or test the system.
    • Reviews and provides feedback on test plans, test cases, automation tests, and test reports/results.
    • Manage the execution of test plans, defect review board, requirement change requests, and processes for complex projects.
    • May recommend process improvements related to the planning and execution of testing.
    • Ensure key stakeholders know any delays, risks, or issues impacting the project schedule.
    • Generates quality assurance status reports to management to ensure smooth IT project operations.
    • Implements effective and corrective measures to deal with specific quality assurance issues.
    • Other Duties as Assigned.

    Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required

    Undergraduate degree or equivalent with 3-6 years of experience.

    • Basic query skills using SAS, SQL, or something similar to pull data; Prior usage of a defect management tool; general business acumen
