IT Quality Assurance Director is responsible for planning and directing the policies, programs, and initiatives used to monitor and measure the overall quality of IT services, systems, and software. Ensures that tracking systems capture useful operational metrics for use in reducing defects, improving service, and optimizing the implementation process. Being an IT Quality Assurance Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a top management. The IT Quality Assurance Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an IT Quality Assurance Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Job Description
Ensures GMP compliance for outsourced clinical manufacturing, packaging, labeling and testing activities.
Performs QA review of manufacturing and packaging batch records for OPDC research & development products for accuracy and compliance with GMP requirements.
Reviews and approves analytical test results/raw data to ensure results meet specifications and are appropriately documented.
Reviews quality events, deviations, investigations and change controls.
Compiles quality metrics to monitor and improve supplier performance; Provides metric reports and reports trends to their Manager to help in the preparation of Management reviews and/or other ad hoc reporting requests.
Escalates project/supplier issues to Manager when appropriate to ensure timely resolution.
Works collaboratively with OPDC Vendors as well as the GPQ Department and other functional areas across Affiliates and Subsidiaries to ensure Compliance with local and global requirements and regulatory requirements.
Authors and maintains Standard Operating Procedures, Work Practices, Job Aids, and other related documents.
Maintains GMP records (document storage, archiving, retrieval)
Supports GPQ IMP R&D Data Studio Metrics/Dashboards by compiling batch record review/release data.
Supports Trackwise Quality R&D Division process improvement projects (PMCRS and Releases)
Supports the OPDC Clinical Product Quality Complaints Program ensuring that U.S. clinical product quality complaints are documented, coordinated, investigated, resolved, and closed out in a uniform, compliant and timely manner. Ensures PQCs are trended to ensure early detection of potential quality issues.
Requirements And Preferences
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related Science
2-5 years of related experience in pharmaceutical/medical device industry in Manufacturing, QA or QC role supporting GMP activities for Investigational Medicinal Product/Clinical Trial Material
Ability to work independently.
Ability to handle interactions and resolve issues with internal customers and GMP Vendors in a tactful, professional and effective manner.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
Experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience using Trackwise
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Thorough understanding of GMP requirements and the Drug Development process.
Analytical problem solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to identify gaps/risks and propose corrective and preventative actions.
Preferred
ASQ certification or equivalent
