This is a contract only position for Project Basin. This is a higher level role that will lead and own pieces, some similarities to a business analyst role. Collaboration with other stakeholders is a critical part of the job, communication is key.
May require some early 7:30 meetings due to other team members working in other time zones.
Job Description:
- We are seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst with experience in the life insurance and financial industry to assist with a program that is transferring closed blocks of life insurance business to another insurer. This is a three -party transaction.
- The candidate will be working with both internal and external stakeholders, including testers, business analysts, operations business users, project managers and developers.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Build positive, productive relationships with the business stakeholders, subject matter experts, testers and others who will be the source of the test deliverables for the program.
- Validate that the converted life insurance data is accurate, reliable, and usable by all functional areas.
- Analyze business requirements for accuracy and consistency across functional areas.
- Write high level use cases based on business requirements for both financial and non-financial activities.
- Develop end-to-end test scenarios for cross-functional workstreams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (testers, business analysts, business users, project managers, developers) in the defect triage process.
- Manage and triage defects based on expected results provided by vendor.
- Assess the impact of defects on critical business processes and customer experience.
- Review defects for patterns and trends to identify gaps in test coverage and regression testing needs.
- Ensure that user expectations are met during the testing process.
- Effectively communicate the impact, priority, and severity of defects on the overall conversion project.
- Ensure timely escalation of critical defects or regulatory issues to prevent project delays.
- Support testing team with execution of test cases and verify expected results.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Life Insurance products, policies, and procedures.
- Experience with financial reporting, compliance, and regulatory guidelines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into test strategy and test cases.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build solid relationships with project team members.
