Intranet Applications Specialist, Sr. - Web develops, implements, and maintains web-based application systems for an organization. Troubleshoots issues with existing or developed systems, and works with the appropriate resources to resolve them. Being an Intranet Applications Specialist, Sr. - Web may require a bachelor's degree in a related area and at least 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field (i.e., HTML, Java, etc.). Additionally, Intranet Applications Specialist, Sr. - Web relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Sr. Project Design Elec. Engineer, Fleet Remediation Engineering

    As an Amazon Fleet Remediation Project Design Engineer, you will lead design projects in operational data centers, that remediate issues, upgrade our existing infrastructure or add new services. You will be the 'go to' engineering resource for these projects and will provide lifecycle support from design through implementation. You will use your electrical expertise to:

    Own the design for existing data center upgrades and design-solutions which add data center infrastructure, capacity, improve availability, and/or increase sustainability.

    Prepare/review short circuit coordination studies and maintain the software models to martch as-built site conditions.

    Perform design and equipment submittal review for Data Centers in your region.

    Interface with internal and external data center design engineering team, server hardware team, environmental health and safety team, field engineering, and controls engineering to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered.

    Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions.

    Act as a technical subject matter expert for your given discipline during new remediation projects. Support construction, commissioning, operations, and turnover.

    The ideal candidate possesses 5 years of experience in technical infrastructure program management, plus experience managing complex and large-scale and technology projects. Experience in managing networking projects and / or datacenter rollouts is essential.

    Manage design and as built drawings and documents

    Prepare and present progress reports to all relevant stakeholders

    Be inclined to get into the field to see things up close

You will prioritize your activities to support data center safety, remediation projects, capacity, and availability, focusing on the actions that are most impactful.     Basic Qualifications

    Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

    6 cumulative years of design experience with industrial or commercial engineering in Mission Critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation, oil / gas facilities. (Experienced Engineer)

    Experience with data center builds, network engineering, systems engineering will be vital

    Basic understanding of TCP/IP networks and datacenter operations

    Preferred Qualifications

    Ability to work cross-functionally to solve problems.

    Organized and have the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines and budget

    Possess leadership and problem-solving skills

    Experience using a variety of web based and other software tools for calculation and data processing.

    Direct experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers.

    Experience as resident design engineer or hands-on (in the field) design consultant.

    Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region.

    Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.

    Ability to carry design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment/mass production

    Possess excellent communication and writing skills, attention to detail, maintain high quality standards

    Basic understanding of both mechanical and electrical equipment/design related to data center electrical and mechanical topology

    EPMS/SCADA/BMS Controls system experience (software and/or hardware)

    Registered Professional Engineer

    Advanced degree in engineering, business, or related field.

    Have fluent knowledge of continuous operating redundant electrical systems, cooling systems, air flow containment and building management systems

    Experience in the management of complex technology infrastructure projects

    Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
