What You'll Do

The Director, Site Integration, is one of three senior leaders for the Y-12 Site Integration directorate to set strategic direction and define performance expectations for the site, oversee matrix relationships, champion process improvements and a continuous improvement culture, and to identify work scope in support of customer deliverables for both current year and future year program requirements. The three Director areas within Site Integration are Production Integration, Strategic Asset Management, and Site Strategies. The Y-12 Site Integration division will be responsible for establishing a master site priorities list across programmatic areas, integrating long range scope determinations and planning across functional areas, and providing technical support to long range project planning in mission areas. The Director will support and establish Value Stream Organizations (VSOs) across the Y-12 site, and be the site champion for continuous process improvement and a culture of excellence. Strategic Asset Management and Plant Health, including evaluation of the long-term risks to and mitigation of site infrastructure, will be the responsibility of Site Integration. Integration of business systems and annual cycles, as well as functional organization integration of the ACB process will be the responsibility of Site Integration. The Production Integration Organization will report to the Site Integration Senior Director, and will provide strategic planning, integration of the Y-12 Production business processes, ACB, site Control Account Manager functions, and support of production projects.

Site Integration Organization roles include:

• Ensuring that a Site Integrated Master Priority List is established and executed
• Providing strategic direction to move the site toward a multi-year, master resource loaded site schedule
• Overseeing ACB interfaces and headcount requirements for organizations supporting the Y-12 mission
• Oversight of the Site Plant Health Program and establishing an Aging Asset Management Strategy to ensure the sustainment of Y-12 facilities, infrastructure, equipment, and strategic/asset management plans
• Serving as the Site Champion for the Value Stream Organization (VSO) structure, initiatives, and efforts
• Integrates functional organizations to perform Y-12 business functions, including negotiating cost and schedule commitments and monitoring performance against those commitments for deliverables performance
• Monitoring the overall Y-12 annual cost and schedule baselines as established by designated Program Managers
• Serves as intermediary between primary matrix organizations to resolve resource concerns created by issues related to performance, cost, schedule, or upset conditions
• Identifies areas of vulnerability in the achievement of the mission and coordinates appropriate initiatives to eliminate or mitigate those vulnerabilities and execute productivity improvements that have positive impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of the site
• Authorized to serve as final authority for resolution of matrix resource issues that impact achievement of defined performance expectations, defining and achieving top organizational objectives and policies, including establishing expectations for matrix organization support
• Represents the company with external agencies (NNSA, regulators, and public) within area of responsibility
• Establishes priorities in distribution of resources in accordance with strategic objectives
• Provides direction for resolution of problems which are of strategic importance to the company's success

Minimum Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree: Minimum 12 years of relevant experience; minimum 5 years of relevant supervisory/management experience
• In addition, the applicant must meet the requirements of DOE O 426.2 (i.e., Baccalaureate in engineering or related science and 4 years nuclear experience, or a DOE O 426.2 alternative). DOE 426.2 experience requirements can be satisfied following employment. In the interim, newly hired personnel will not be assigned duties that could impact the safety basis of nuclear facilities.
