Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.

g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience.

You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : GS-08 : Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and / or tasks : Receive request for procedure or treatment;

Clean and sterilize instruments and conduct routine maintenance and adjustment checks. Instruct other technicians, physicians, nurses and others in the use of the equipment.

Decide how to adapt the instrument to the patient based on information gained through previous experience, observation, and results.

Provide diagnostic or treatment services to acutely ill patients. SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR : Professional knowledge of physiology and cross-sectional human anatomy for both adult and pediatric care.

This includes an in-depth understanding of the functioning of the major systems and internal organs to interpret requests and to recognize the need for additional tests or a different position / examination as evidenced by registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
