Being an Instructor - Physics provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Royal Education is a research-oriented firm dedicated to providing our middle and high school students with quality instructors. We are currently located in La Canada Flintridge, CA.
We are currently looking for Physics Instructors / Tutors who are able to teach Honors and Advanced Placement (AP) Physics I, II, and C for high school students.
NOTE: We are currently conducting classes most in-person, with some sessions online.
Duties:
- Instructors are expected to teach in the firm unless otherwise notified from Royal Education.
-Instructors will be expected to be ready to teach their respective content to individual students and / or classes that can be up to 20 students.
- Instructors will be expected to notify Royal Education if there are any specific materials needed so that Royal Education can have it ready prior to instruction.
Instructors will not be expected to bring their own materials as we will do our best to accommodate in this aspect. The goal is to alleviate any extra work on the instructor to allow the instructor to support the students in their best capacity (while making the content and pedagogy engaging).
Instructors who are able to teach multiple sciences (especially Mathematics) or are able to teach SAT / ACT, especially the ACT Science section, is a big plus.
The position will start at part-time, limited number of hours, and will grow in hours depending on student demand and tutoring capacity.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s Degree PREFERRED in Physics or related field.
-REQUIRED to be in progress towards receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics or related field.
-Prior experience taking AP Physics in high school STRONGLY PREFERRED
-Previous teaching experience, especially with a private education institute, is a BIG plus.
