Instructor - Philosophy jobs in Indiana

The Department of History, Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Purdue University Northwest (Hammond and Westville) anticipates hiring a Lecturer in Philosophy beginning Fall 2024.

• Minimum of an M.A in Philosophy (or related field), in hand by August 2024
• A minimum of two years of teaching experience (graduate student teaching experience accepted) in Philosophy or related fields.

Desired Qualifications:

• Graduate coursework in Ethics.

• Teach a 5-5 course load with expectations for service to the department, college, and university.
• Teach courses in Introductory Ethics, Ethics for the Professions, and/or Engineering Ethics
• Teach other courses as needed by the department including additional ethics topics (AI, Health Professions, etc.) and general philosophy courses.
• Participate in curriculum development, assessment as well as recruitment and retention initiatives.
