Instructor - Nursing teaches courses in the discipline area of nursing. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Nursing provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Nursing typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Cross Country Search has partnered with a nursing school in Indianapolis looking to add additional Nursing Faculty members to their team as student enrollment numbers continue to increase. We're looking for professionals who enjoy in-person learning in both the classroom and on the floor during clinical rotations.
About the position:
- Flexible scheduling; typical 36/40 hour work week
- Participate in in-person classroom, laboratory, and offsite clinical rotation creating a high level of student engagement and collaboration
- Curriculum development
- Supervise, and orient nursing students, evaluating their progress and achievements
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing; Master of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
- Three (3) or more years of registered nursing experience in an inpatient clinical setting
- Experience working as a Clinical Nurse Educator or Preceptor; academic experience preferred
- Active unencumbered Registered Nurse license for the state of Indiana
- BLS Certification through the American Heart Association
