Job Summary:
This is a full-time, non-tenure track, teaching position Bethune-Cookman University is seeking talented faculty with a commitment to quality instruction for its College Prep and general education mathematics courses.
Duties/Responsibilities:- Include planning, organizing, and teaching a full load (15 credit hours) of classes as assigned.
- Teaching strategies will be incorporated to foster student learning, success and retention.
- Teaching opportunities during the summer may be available depending on enrollment but not guaranteed
- Teaching experience desired, expertise in data science is preferred.
- Ability to utilize technology and innovative pedagogy to enhance teaching and learning.
- Understanding of a commitment to working with a diverse student population in a multicultural environment.
- Masters Degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education (with 18 graduate hours of mathematics indicated in the official transcript).
- Working environment is a normal face-to-face business office setting
- The Administrative Assistant must be able to work inside the Human Resources office building.
- Mask-wearing is required.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Normal manual dexterity and visual and auditory acuity
- Must be mobile throughout the campus
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
- Typically, the incumbent may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending or carrying of light items.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
