Role Description

This is a contract role for an English as a Second Language (ESL) Instructor. The instructor will be responsible for delivering English lessons for our Warehousing English Program. The program will be delivered onsite. No lesson planning is necessary. The lessons will be provided along with some delivery suggestions, however, the instructor will use their expertise to ensure engaging and interactive sessions throughout the program. Additionally, the instructor should maintain communication with LENa Institute about the progress of the participants and submit progress reports at the midpoint and end of the program.

Tentative schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays

1:00pm - 2:30pm EST

Duration: 8 weeks (multiple program cycles are available)

Location: Jacksonville, FL (about 7 mins from the airport), exact location to be shared in person.

Qualifications:

• Degree in TESOL or related field;
• or a bachelor's degree and an accredited ESL/TESOL certificate
• Experience teaching English as a Second Language; teaching within a specific industry or cultural context is a plus
• Knowledge of linguistics to enhance language learning
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to different individuals or groups
• Dynamic, energetic teaching style
• Spanish speaker (or some knowledge of the Spanish language) is preferred but not required
