Instructor - Economics teaches courses in the discipline area of economies. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Economics provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Economics typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Instruct college students in accordance with educational theories and techniques. Develops discipline related curricula, assess student learning, participates in program evaluation, and college activities. Maintains college and department standards in support of the College's mission and strategic plan.
Work schedule varies according to teaching assignment.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Economics or Master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Economics.- Must have the ability to demonstrate the use of technology in the classroom.
- Must be able to use the technology required for the assigned course.
- Coursework within the degree must reflect competencies in the courses to be taught.
