Instructor - Civil Engineering jobs in Florida

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Civil CAD Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various design software and possess a strong background in civil engineering.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in design drafting and plan production using AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Proficient in Civil Design with knowledge of design, permitting, and construction methods.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and surveys.
• Comprehensive understanding of design, including site layout, grading, hardscape, drainage, and planting.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or relevant field-related work experience. Certification in a related field is acceptable.
• US Citizen

Responsibilities:

• Assist engineer(s) in applying principles, methods, and techniques of civil engineering technology, with a focus on computer-aided drafting.
• Review project requirements, goals, and field conditions in collaboration with Engineers.
• Prepare detailed construction plans including cover sheets, site plans, utility plans, drainage and grading plans, and more.
• Perform quantity takeoffs.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure drawings meet industry standards and project requirements.
• Make revisions to drawings based on feedback and design changes.
• Maintain organized files and documentation of CAD drawings.

Job Description:

• Part-time position (average 20 hours per week) for a Civil CAD Designer.
• Create detailed construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Develop civil construction plans for various land development projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and estimations for civil sitework projects.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to industry standards and project requirements.
• Make necessary revisions based on feedback and design specifications.

Benefits:

• Compensation: $22.00-$30.00 per hour.
• Part-time position, Monday to Friday.
