Instructor - Accounting jobs in Florida
Instructor - Accounting teaches courses in the discipline area of accounting. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Accounting provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Accounting typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. This position handles several key responsibilities including internal accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and data entry into general ledger.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To- All Aspects of Accounts Receivable:
Generate & send monthly AR customer account statements and match up to invoices.
Balance and reconcile POS transactions
Balance POS Deposits to Accounting Software
Post AR Payments to customer accounts
Balance Cash Drawers
Bank Deposits and proficient in counting money- All Aspects of Accounts Payable:
Reconcile purchase orders to invoices
Enter, code, and pay invoices
Post and distribute all payables for approval- Qualifications:
Must be proficient in computer systems and accounting software
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel & Outlook
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must have Good organizational, time management and multitasking abilities
Must have great communication skills
Experience in Sage Software is a plus
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
