Inside Sales Manager oversees the activities of sales representatives with an assigned territory or portfolio of existing customers that primarily conduct remote sales calls. Coordinates closely with marketing and field sales to gather insights and understand customers' unique needs, market conditions, and competitors. Being an Inside Sales Manager develops sales strategies and supporting activities, including renewals, special offers, and discounts. Provides appropriate product information to meet the needs of individual customers, support upselling, and achieve sales targets. Additionally, Inside Sales Manager trains and coaches staff in selling and relationship-building skills needed to grow and maintain sales pipelines. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Inside Sales Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Inside Sales Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     As an Inside Sales Manager you will deliver uncompromised customer satisfaction through pertinent and continuous channel communication plus best-in-class fulfillment of product needs. Achieve shipment plan via value-based channel relationships and business planning.

    What Will You Do?

    • Collaborates with all applicable functions to ensure Exmark achieves shipment plan
    • Provides accurate shipment predictability based on bookings, product availability, and allocations
    • Provides management and training to Inside Sales Representatives
    • Direct/Monitor Inside Sales Representative’s activities to ensure Exmark’s programs/policies are being administrated accurately
    • D1 (Dealer Direct) and D2 (Distribution) Red Iron (finance company) business interface
    • Manage dealer credit lines to drive sales growth
    • Manage D1 & D2 product demand with available inventory and future production
    • Development and CI (continuous improvement) of channel communications with the intent to provide best in class customer satisfaction (e.g. product availability, timely shipments, shipment accuracy, general booking status)
    • Timely and direct communication with Exmark’s Territory Managers and Region Sales Managers with regard to product availability, shipment delays/stock outs, credit line issues, and over stock opportunities
    • Ensure fair and equitable distribution of product to maximize retail sales limiting Exmark’s exposure to floor plan cost
    • Facilitates use of online ordering process by our sales channel finished goods
    • Maintains, monitors, and continuously improves D1 and D2 booking systems and the integrity of report outs and forecasting
    • Participates in sales planning forum, provides pertinent product mix information and advises production planning of critical product needs
    • Provides accurate accounting of daily, monthly, quarterly, and year end shipments as compared to plan
    • Develops a balance of trust and respect between Exmark and its sales channel
    • Ensures the maximum of loads are built and released from Beatrice and Windom to meet daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual goals
    • Identifies and applies Lean methodologies to ensure Inside Sales processes are scientifically controlled and continuously improved
    • Participates in monthly Product Planning Committee meetings and provides a sales perspective to help prioritize product development and drive growth and profitability
    • Facilitates monthly SIOP meetings with our distributor and direct partners to communicate production updates, product releases and rework updates when necessary
    • Works with the Director of Sales and our distributor partners to create a mutually agreed upon shipment goal based on historical retail, shipment data and days of inventory
    • Monitor retail trends to ensure projections align with current plan
    • Implement deviations for shipment terms as required
    • Work to coordinate shipments and share sales information between Exmark and Ness Turf
    • Some travel required

    What Do You Need?

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or other similar field preferred along with previous applicable experience; associate’s degree along with multiple years of experience may also be considered
