INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY GENERALIST jobs in California
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY GENERALIST performs overall information systems planning, implementation, and administration in a variety of IT functional areas. Collaborates with end users to diagnose and resolve technical issues across different systems and technologies, including hardware, software, and networks. Being an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY GENERALIST analyzes business needs and contributes to the selection of IT hardware and software to support internal business processes. Maintains detailed documentation of methodologies, processes, and specifications of an organization's IT systems and assists with the planning and scheduling of IT initiatives. Additionally, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY GENERALIST installs and configures an organization's network infrastructure including LANs, WANs, and wireless networks and monitors network performance. Implements basic security measures to protect systems, networks, and data and ensures backup strategies and recovery plans are up to date. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY GENERALIST occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Our start up retail and hospitality client is seeking a client facing Desktop Support specialist to join their rapidly growing company. The ideal person can work solo while providing accurate and reliable escalated tech issues to third party vendors while assisting customers in person in a timely fashion. If you are the type of person to provide excellent customer support and handle a wide range of tech issues, then look no further!
MUST HAVE:
- 5 years in IT
- Start up/retail environment is ideal---someone who can work solo but can report accurate IT information to their vendors
- Someone tech savvy with Hardware, Software, Infrastructure, AV, POS, Computers, Network racks, Cabling, Security Cameras, TVs
- Ability to handle a high stress environment
- Windows/Mac, MDM, iPads support
- O365 administration
- Amazing people and customer facing skills (will be handling IT issues in front of customers and team members, not many private places in the building)
