Physical Requirements
This position may require sitting and/or standing at a workstation for extended periods of time performing repetitive motions such as typing. Report to meetings at different locations both on campus and off campus; travel outside the local area for training; and work successfully with a team and independently.
Shift
Primarily day shift Monday through Friday 8:00am – 5:00 pm, however as an exempt-level position, additional hours may be required as needed to perform job duties. This is a hybrid position which requires on-site work hours as well as remote hours.
Job Summary
Using best practices and adult learning principles, the IT Technology trainer will facilitate the teaching of information technology virtually or in person to all healthcare professionals including faculty, nursing staff and other healthcare professionals across the enterprise. The position will be responsible for teaching the material providing on-site support to users; participating in the implementation of new systems; collaborating and communicating with curriculum designers any changes that are to be disseminated and providing exceptional customer service to faculty, staff and co-workers. Requires occasional travel within Kentucky to UK Healthcare remote site clinical areas to provide training.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills; be well organized and have project management skills; and be proficient in MS Office Suites, Captivate or similar e-learning software

Preferred Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree with experience in Information Technology training preferred.
